For all the guys who are looking for resolving problem with high and erratic rpm problems, i solved mine. I had a problem when starting cold, the rpm's stood up to 3000, and when it tryied to get low it getted up right away. And in idle after the engine was up to functioning temp the rpm's didn't go lower then 1000-1200 revs. The standard oil pump in a 1581 16v was from the 1581 Tipo 8v - and it isn't upto the job of feeding the same engine PLUS 4 piston squirters and 16 leaky lifters. This is why most of the 1581 16v road cars you hear sound rattly. We basically had no choice but to fabricate a new oil pump. The other thing is poor head design. Hi! I have a question.
